Amyloidosis kidney
♫ It’s not a glomerulonephritis, but it’s considered to be glomerulopathy.
♫ It presents with nephrotic $ then deterioration of kid function CRF.


Causes:

Rheumatoid D.
Supp lung $.
Multiple m.
F. M. F.
Polyserositis recurrent abdominal Pain +rebound
tenderness
Fever.
Late nephrotic $.

C/P: » cause + nephrotic $
amyloidosis kidney lead to renal tubular acidosis nephrogenic D.I.

Diagnosis:

biopsy and staining by Congo red , this gives pink colour & show green birefringence by polarized microscope.

ttt:

- treatment of the cause. to prevent further amyloid deposition.
-Colchicine in F.M.F. ¯¯ the incidence of amyloidosis ?!
