Definition: Protrusion of extraperitoneal fat through a defect in linea alba usually midway between xiphoid process and umbilicus.
Clinical Picture: Usually irreducible giving rounded small swelling in the epigastrium. Traction on peritoneum cause dyspepsia. Many hernias may be present
Treatment:Excision of the fat (no sac) & repair of the defect. Cases with large sac and defect needs polyprolene mesh in the retromuscular plane.
