    Takayasu’s arteritis (‘pulseless’ disease)

    • rare

    • idiopathic

    • large-vessel vasculitis

    • the aorta and its major branches

    • narrowing/occlusion of the vessels

    • Most commonly in women in their 20s/30s.

    • Carotid involvement may lead to ocular hypoperfusion and OIS

    • renal arterial involvement may lead to systemic hypertension and occasionally hypertensive retinopathy.

    Default IOL position alarm

    IOL position alarm 🚨

Anterior axial movement of any corrective PLUS lens ( spectacle, contact lens , crystalline lens and IOL) increases the effective power of the lens causing myopic shift ( and the opposite is true )

    Default Night Myopia

    Night Myopia

    🚛🚛🚛🚛🚛🚛

💡 Light rays at the edge of the human lens are refracted more than those at the center of the lens.

💡 Because our pupils are larger at night, more spherical aberration is present under lower light conditions.

💡 A refractive shift towards more myopia is needed to compensate for this increase in spherical aberration.

💡Additionally, accommodation does not go to a neutral state under low light conditions.

💡 The visual system actually accommodates approximately 0.75D under low light conditions.

💡These changes result in a need for more minus or less plus correction for those individuals, such as over the road truck drivers, who need to function with their highest visual clarity at night.

    Default Femto-refractive indexing

    🛑

    Femto-refractive indexing

    🌹🌹

✍️ Novel Femto-procedure for refractive surgery dependent on changing Refractive index of the mid- stromal layer rather than Changing the shape of anterior corneal curvature is coming soon into practice ✈️✈️✈️✈️✈️

✍️ I can imagine how to change a refractive index of a material by changing density.... so simply if u change density of middle stromal layers, u can change the refractive index and by the way the refractive power without any noticeable change in the shape

✍️ but I think it will affect the corneal hysteresis and biomechanics of the stromal lamella by creating potential less dense micro-spaces or even epmty intrastromal micro-pockets induced by modified Femto-laser beam

✍️ Novel but I think it will have almost the same or slightly less conventional limitations of conventional femto- Lasik

✍️ in any way we r waiting for positive as well as negative feedbacks sooner

✍️ this my modest opinion regarding this newly born ( preterm ) technology 😊😊😊😊😊

☝️ lesions with these criteria , are more likely to be malignant.

✍️ Specialist advice should be sought for all potentially malignant or premalignant lesions.
