Lutofolone Ampoules Composition:
Lutofolone is an oily solution for intramuscular Injection containing in each ampoule of 1 ml:
Oestradiol benzoate 2 mg
Progesterone 20 mg.
Lutofolone Ampoules Indications and Dosage:
Secondary Amenoohoes:
A course of one Lutofolone I.m. Injection on each of two successive days is usually followed by bleeding after 4-5 days. After several similar monthly courses, some patients menstruate spontaneously In refractory patients, treatment may be continued at monthly intarvals if failures to menstruate results In serious psychological upset.
Lutofolone Ampoules Habitual Abortion:
One LutofoIone Lm. Injection 2-3 times a week. Tnsatment should be started as early as possible after the missed period, and continued for four months In patients who have had early abortions, and throughout the pregnancy until a few weeks before term In those who have had late Abortions.
Lutofolone Ampoules Threatened Abortion:
1-2 Lutofolone i.m. injections dally may suooeed to stop the bleeding; dosage is then nsduced gradually to one daily injection, and later to one weekly Injection.
Lutofolone Ampoules Warnings & Precautions:
– Its administration should be regulated considering Its risky effect on the fetus during the first four months of pregnancy.
– Should assure absence of pregnancy when admlnlsterad.
– The mother should be warned of its risk on the fetus when used.
– This product is not to be used in pregnancy test
