CHRONIC BREAST ABSCESS "Antibioma"
Aetiology:
Acute mastitis with inadequate therapy Thick sterile pus surrounded by fibrous tissue.
Clinical Picture:
Hard lump in the breast. Dimpling, puckering of the skin .
Peu d'orang. Retraction of the nipple.

Differential Diagnosis: It closely simulate cancer
Differences from cancer:
1- Past history of acute illness.
2- Resistance to the finger in the center of the abscess less than in the periphery in cantrast to CA.
3- L.N. not fixed to each other or surroundings.
4- Post. surface rounded in abscess but flat in malignancy.
5- Frozen biopsy or excision biopsy is needed for differentiation in most of cases.
Treatment:Excision is the best measure.
