Differential diagnosis:
1- Local causes of trismus e.g. dental and parotid infection, tonsillitis and T.M. arthritis .
2- Meningitis : Neck muscles affected 1st.with other investigations as lumbar puncture .
3- Strychnine poisoning : history of drug intake and spasms are entirely clonic with complete relaxation in between.
4- Rabies : history of dog bite + clonic contractions .
5- Tetany : hands and feet are mainly affected .
