O Definition: Diminished effective circulating volume. i.e. It is a pathological condition in which the circulating blood volume can not perfuse the tissue to satisfy its needs for tissue metabolism
O Types:
1- Neurogenic shock; due to failure of resistance .
2- Oligaemic " Hypovolaemic" shock; due to failure of volume.
3- Cardiogenic shock; due to failure of heart .
4- Septic shock; starts with failure of resistance & ends with failure of the heart.
