mAetiology:
1ry Commonest in 2nd part occurs also in the 3rd part usually arises at the site of entry of blood vessels.
2ry in the 1st part on top of duodenal ulcer.
1ry diverticulum may be asymptomatic but if inflamed gives symptoms of duodenal ulcer or pancreatitis. Rarely large diverticulum near the ampulla of Vater gives obstructive jaundice.

mTreatment:
If surgery is needed the risk of duodenal fistula is difficult to be avoided.
