Selgon COMPOSITION:

 Selgon ACTION:

SELGON® suppresses irritative and spasmodic cough by inhibiting the exitability of the cough centre and of the peripheral neural receptors in
the respiratory passage. It has a bronchodilator effect which reduces the increased resistance to expiration during paroxysms of cough.
SELGON® has the advantage that it is devoid of addictive liability and does not depress respiration. The response to SELGON® occurs within 10-20 minutes and lasts for 4-6 hours.

 Selgon INDICATIONS:

Irritant and spasmodic cough.

 Selgon PRECAUTIONS:

Although so far there have been no signs indicating an adverse effect of SELGON® during pregnancy, pregnant women are requested to inform their physician about the ingestion of SELGON®. This precaution serves for the
necessary control on the part of the physician of all drugs taken during pregnancy. SELGON® may cause drowsiness, therefore care shoud be taken with users operatinq vehicles or machines.

 Selgon DOSAGE:

Tablets                     Drops                                    Supp.
Babies & infants                                             4 drops                               1/2 supp.
up to 2 years old                                           1- 3 times daily             2-3 times daily

Children                                                             6 -7 drops                          1 supp.
2 – 6 years old                                               1·3 times daily                  2-3 times daily

Children                                                              7 – 8 drops                                  1supp.
6 -12 years old                                                 1-3 times daily                   3 times daily

Children above           1 tablet                             15 drops
12 years old            3 times daily                      3 times daily

Adults                             1-2  tablets                     15 – 30 drops

3 times daily                 3 times daily
In severe Irritative cough the dose may be doubled if necessary. SELGON® drops should preferably be taken on sugar or in some fluid (fruit juice, milk, tea” etc.)

 Selgon PACKING:

Tablets : 2 Blisters of 10 tablets.
Drops     : Bottles of 15 rnl-plastic dropper.
Suppositories for children: strips of 6 supp.

-Medicament is a product which affects your health, and its consumption contrary to instructions is dangerous for you.
-Follow strictly the doctor’s prescription, the method of use, and the instructions of the pharmacist who sold the medicament.
