Large, ulcerated polypoid lesion in the ascending colon of a 39 year old man with several months of increasing abdominal pain, weight loss and anemia. The lesion proved to be a necrotizing lipoma.

Unusual appearing polypoid lesion, focally ulcerated in the ascending colon of an 80 year old woman undergoing colonoscopy for iron deficiency anemia. Grossly benign in appearance, but more firm than a typical lipoma, the lesion proved to be a necrotizing lipoma histologically.
