Ovarian mature cystic teratomas, gross FEM059.jpg Here are bilateral mature cystic teratomas of the ovaries. These are a form of ovarian germ cell tumor. Histologically, a variety of mature tissue elements may be found. These tumors are often called "dermoid cysts" because they are mostly cystic.
