Loss of outer third of eyebrows
Facial myxoedema
Agitation
Lid retraction
Weight changes
Appropriate dress for temperature

Q2: When examining the same patients hands list 3 things
you might observe?

Palmer erythema
Sweaty/dry palms
Tremor
Thyroid acropachy
Onycholysis

Q3: When examining the same patient’s eyes what might
you be looking for?

Lid lag
Ophthalmoplegia
Proptosis
Exophthalmus

Q4: Suggest 3 other signs from the ones above that you
may detect when examining a patient with thyroid disease

Proximal myopathy
Slow/brisk Reflexes
Pre-tibial myxoedema
Pulse Tachy/brady cardia
